Dawn, 40
I got pregnant in the summer of 2008. My husband and I were thrilled. We had been trying for about 6 months and it finally happened.
At 11 weeks of gestation we found out that our son/daughter had anencephaly. We were devastated. We thought we wanted this child. We murdered our son/daughter two days later in a building which looked like a hospital (but where they murdered people instead of cared for them). A spineless, life-hating, unprotective man who had a Medical Doctorate in gynecology dilated my cervix and proceeded to cut my son/daughter up into several pieces. After this, the nurse informed him that all of my son’s/daughter’s body parts were present and accounted for. The “doctor” considered this a “condition not compatible with life” AND WHO WOULD after being cut up into so many pieces?!
I didn’t know it, but my insurance carrier refused to pay for the murder. I found out that the insurance carrier was prohibited by Federal law from paying for the murder. I am a federal government employee and in 1995 a provision was slipped into an appropriations bill stating that insurance carriers for plans offered to federal government employees are prohibited from paying for legalized unborn baby murder disservices unless the pregnancy is the result of an act of rape, incest (neither of which have ANYthing to do with the baby), or threatens the life of the woman.
I received a letter from the insurance carrier from my appeal of the initial denial. The letter stated that the anencephaly did not threaten my ability to give birth to my son/daughter so the denial of benefits was correct. Based on everything I’ve pointed out it and my detective skills it *seems* that this carrier was bound by Federal law. If I were covered by this carrier under a non-federal plan, they would have been paid for the murder of my baby.
I resent that the health care of my baby and the health care of all female federal employees’ babies are defended by this law.
I have worked for groups which favor the murder of unborn babies for the worst part of my life doing a variety of volunteer activities (lying, deceiving, coaxing, betraying my fellow woman, hating men and the babies that they helped us conceive… did I mention lying?) as well as giving money to spill more blood. I support murdering unborn babies in all circumstances (yes, especially those which are forced in China and other countries since they have more melanin than I do).

I got pregnant in the summer of 2008. My husband and I were thrilled. We had been trying for about 6 months and it finally happened.
At 11 weeks of gestation we found out that the fetus had anencephaly. We were devastated. This was a very wanted child. We terminated the pregnancy two days later in a hospital. My OB performed the D&C. The doctor considered this a “condition not compatible with life.”
Unbeknown to me, my insurance carrier later refused to cover the procedure. I have come to find out that the insurance carrier had no choice in covering the procedure. Federal law prohibits them from covering the procedure. I am a federal government employee and in 1995 a provision was slipped into an appropriations bill stating that insurance carriers for plans offered to federal government employees are prohibited from paying for abortion services unless the pregnancy is the result of an act of rape, incest, or threatens the life of the woman.
I received a letter from the insurance carrier from my appeal of the initial denial. The letter stated that the anencephaly did not threaten my ability to carry to term so the denial of benefits was correct. It appears that this carrier was bound by federal law. If I were covered by this carrier under a non-federal plan, I would have been covered for a therapeutic abortion.
I resent that my healthcare and the healthcare of all female federal employees is compromised by this law.
I have worked for pro-choice causes for the better part of my life doing a variety of volunteer activities as well as donating money. I support choice in all circumstances.
NOTES:
I’m going crazy, all you readers. Say something so I don’t have to!
Boo hoo. Christians love to control women’s bodies, want every child born no matter how detrimentally deformed, or brought into an uncaring household- BUT are against supporting the child as soon as it passes out of her vagina. Can you say HYPOCRISY? I can.
Christianity is a mental disease.
This is one of the most contemptible things I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading. These are real women’s stories, not abstract debate topics for you to make fun of for your own selfish agenda. How would you like it if someone wrote something like this about a woman in your life? Sadly, I think I already know what your answer might be.
*Warning!* Parody to parodied Naral Testimonial. *Warning!* My sister was beaten and abused by her husband. Her kidney was damaged. She went on the organ transplant list. Her husband (who is ‘ProLife’, even controlled her fertility by forcing her to continue the pregnancy that now endangered her because of her kidney failure, made threats if she consented to an abortion in order to prolong her life while waiting for a kidney transplant) decided not to donate his perfectly healthy and matchable kidney to save her life. Sister and fetus died before a match could be found. He just murdered his wife, my sister, and the fetus he helped create. But, of course, going by such ProLife logic, ProLifers murder indisPUtable human beings, ALL THE TIME, not JUST him. Like Kat said, can anyone say hyPOCrisy? I can but I doubt you could.
He might have said he was pro-life, but was he a Christian?
Whether he was or not, Paul describes how husbands and wives should treat each other in Ephesians 5.
Your brother-in-law didn’t act that way and I’m sorry about your loss.
I disagree that Christianity is a mental disease, though. I follow the Christian faith beCAUSE I am ProChoice. ProLifers can never really follow the Christian faith, JUST the Christian Churches. Sorry.
You don’t follow Jesus if you believe He died so that you could murder your children. If you don’t read your Bible, how would you come to that conclusion?
If you don’t go to a Christian church, how do you not forsake the gathering together of the believers? What body part isn’t contiguous with the rest of the body?
The Body of Christ doesn’t have prosthetic parts. Sorry, and I hope you find a Bible believing church to go to… or at least a Bible.
