Burping babies and Naptime

Whenever I burp my son, Levi, I always end up burping before him, if not at the time I’m patting his back.

Isn’t it strange that we don’t pat each other on the backs after we drink or eat? I’m not suggesting some weird lunchtime love fest of guys and girls (respectively) hugging each other while patting their backs, but what if we did….

Wouldn’t the world be less angry if we didn’t have all that gas sitting in us after our lunches?

But we could probably deal with the issue of after lunch drowsiness by taking naps, too. Wouldn’t it be a funny thing to imagine our bosses coming around to tuck us in? I haven’t had a job in almost a year so maybe some companies have started doing this.

Then again, I haven’t been living under a rock for the past 10 months either so that’s probly not what they’re doing.

BUT, just for fun… the next time you’re hanging out with your friends, ask one for a hug (after they’ve taken a drink or you’ve just had lunch) and start rhythmically patting them on the back. Let me know in the comments if you get a response (especially if you’re a dude).
